Witch and Giant
Spotted in Redwoods! Wait… they’re cast members of
Gloriana’s “Into the Woods.” Fairytale characters
meet in enchanted woods letting greed, revenge, and misadventure
guide them. Witch’s magic, a cape-red as blood, hair-yellow
as corn, a cow-white as milk, swindling Cinderella out of
her gold slipper are all part of the plot. Not recommended
for young children. Showing through Sept 28, 7:30PM Fri/Sat,
3PM Sun, Eagles Hall Theatre. Tickets available at Harvest

Furnituremakers Show Their Work This Fall

Perhaps it's natural
that woodworking on the Mendocino Coast should distinguish
itself in a region known as an arts cornucopia. After all,
the forest enlivens and influences everything here, not least
the community of artists and craftspeople loosely organized
around the woodworking school James Krenov founded here in
1982. The Mendocino Coast FurnitureMakers present: "Contemporary
Hand-Crafted Furniture" -- from September 3 to September 27,
2008 -- at the Mendocino Art Center. The opening reception
is Second Saturday, September 13, from 5 to 8 pm. The Mendocino
Art Center is located at 45200 Little Lake Street, Mendocino.
