The Griffin House is located in the middle of the small village of Elk, about 150 miles north of San Francisco.
By the most direct route:
Hwy. 101 North to Hwy. 128 West
Hwy. 128 West to Hwy. 1 South
The Griffin House is on the ocean side of Highway 1, five miles south of the junction of Hwys. 1 and 128.
It will take about three hours to get here from the Golden Gate Bridge; it's about four hours from the San Francisco airport. If you choose a different route (or stop to smell the roses, snap the sea lions or sip the wine), allow an hour or two more for the trip.
